Roles & Responsibilities
Cobol MVS developer
- Provide corrective and evolutionary maintenance for COBOL applications on IBM z/OS Mainframes.
- Analyze and correct existing programs (JCL, DB2, CICS).
- Manage technical and functional incidents and propose appropriate solutions.
- Contribute to functional support for users and business teams.
- Participate in functional testing and acceptance phases.
- Document technical and functional changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid application environment (COBOL + .NET).
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proficiency in COBOL and Mainframe environments (JCL, DB2, CICS).
- Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve incidents.
- Rigor, reliability, and a strong sense of priorities.
- Good communication and active listening skills.
- Team spirit and ability to thrive in a critical production environment.
- Knowledge of or interest in .NET environments (a plus).
- Functional knowledge in finance/accounting is appreciated.
- 3-5 years of experience in application maintenance or COBOL development.
