Roles & Responsibilities

Key Accountability Areas

Key Activities

Collaboration & Partnership Development

  • Identify and engage with internal departments and external partners (academic institutions, industry leaders, and funding agencies) to develop joint projects and explore funding opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of collaborators to enhance R&D capabilities, enabling access to cutting-edge knowledge, technology, and resources.
  • Foster relationships with senior leadership, external stakeholders, and internal departments to ensure sustained support and alignment with R&D goals.
  • Proactively explore and establish cross-sector collaborations to support the industrialisation of R&D outputs.

Governance and Compliance

  • Draft and negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring clarity of objectives, roles, and mutual benefits for all parties.
  • Address intellectual property (IP) considerations to safeguard organisational assets while promoting fair and transparent knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor compliance with partnership terms, including regulatory standards, data sharing policies, and ethical guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits of partnership deliverables to ensure adherence to agreed milestones and objectives.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop scalable frameworks to manage multiple collaborations, allocating resources and personnel effectively across diverse partnerships.
  • Contribute to long-term planning by identifying and defining roles for internal collaboration managers and external partnership leads.
  • Support the alignment of partnership opportunities with organisational priorities and future R&D initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations for evolving partnership strategies based on insights from external market trends and internal resource assessments.

Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring open and effective communication to address challenges and leverage opportunities.
  • Monitor the progress and outcomes of joint initiatives, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives and maximising the value delivered by each collaboration.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, joint problem-solving sessions, and innovation workshops to strengthen partnerships and mutual benefits.
  • Engage with stakeholders to manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure partnerships remain productive and aligned with R&D objectives.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

  • Support monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes considering leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement

Desired Candidate Profile

Preferred experience covering:

  • Expertise in building and managing partnerships with external stakeholders, including research institutions, government agencies, and industry partners, ensuring strategic alignment, effective collaboration, and mutual benefits through negotiation and stakeholder management. /li>
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster multidisciplinary collaboration, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive joint initiatives, with familiarity in Air Traffic Management being an advantage.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration, Public Relations, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred Certifications in stakeholder engagement, partnership management, or collaborative project management (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
