Strategic:

• Effectively manage portfolio delinquency to support the management mandate.
• Develop and improve methods of collection, restructure/reschedule, and exit plans in terms of quality and efficiency.

Operational:

• Maximize profitability by recovering the maximum amount of delinquent debt, while ensuring delinquent cases are handled appropriately and as per bank policy.
• Engage with delinquent customers to settle overdue amounts and bring accounts back to normalcy.
• Support effective restructuring of delinquent clients and reporting of skip cases.
• Prepare write-off/discounting proposals, follow up to obtain necessary approvals, and process them into the system.
• Create regular reports to track the performance of the portfolio.
• Monitor and manage the addition/deletion of holds for delinquent customers.
• Analyze and determine the most effective methods for maximizing financial recover.
• Manage and coordinate relationships with other departments, such as Risk/RCC, to approve/process restructures.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and local regulations.
• Ensure adherence to department guidelines, policies, and procedures regarding loan repayment.

Skills:

• Knowledge of remedial collection related process, Legal Regulations.
• Ability to liaison with stakeholders involved and motivate staff.
• Excellent written (Advanced) and oral communication.
• Strong negotiation and debt recovery.
• Advanced knowledge of the Banking Industry (Advanced) best practices in Oman.
