Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Review and assessment of major claims
- Quantum review and assessment of prolongation and disruption costs
- Assessment of interim accounts
- Alternative Dispute Resolution, Dispute Resolution & Litigation
- Final settlement of claims and final accounts
Play a key role in initiating and implementing commercial procedures, regulations and added value working practices
- Review, updating and monitoring of project costs and adherence to Company's existing commercial procedures
- Compilation, implementation and monitoring of Training and Development Plans
- Ensuring construction contracts and professional services agreements are administered appropriately
- Resolution of major issues resulting from the review and interrogation of Contractor's Cost and progress reports
Desired Candidate Profile
BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- A post-graduate qualification in law or dispute resolution preferred but not essential
- Chartered Membership of the RICS or equivalent (suitably experienced professionals may be considered)
- Must have a minimum of 14 years post graduate experience
- Worked in the capacity of Commercial Specialist / Manager within a Professional Consultancy or Client organization (Contracting background may also be considered).
- A proven track record of resolving major complex claims and disputes
- Preferably, have minimum 5 years experience in the gulf region.
