Your Roadmap
As a Commercial Project Manager (CPM), you are responsible for ensuring that all commercial and legal aspects of complex projects are delivered on schedule, cost-optimized, and in compliance with quality standards. In this role, you apply the official Mobility and Siemens circulars and regulations, ensuring consistent adherence alongside project-specific processes and requirements throughout the project lifecycle. As a CPM, you are authorized to request all necessary project information from both offshore and onshore organizational units and are accountable for the completeness, quality, and reliability of project information. Your main responsibilities are:
- Organizational project set-up
- Active customer relationship management
- Set-up of cross-company controlling and reporting systems, including determination of the cross-company exchange of balance-sheet information
- Checking that the overall project's contractual structure has been correctly created in the respective commercial tools
- Cross-company coordination
- Ensuring the correctness, consistency, and transparency of the overall project's financial status, including consolidation and analysis of project figures across all company boundaries and accounting units
- Coordination of legal, fiscal, and insurance matters between the Siemens companies involved
- Management of internal and external claims across all stakeholders
- Reporting
- Responsible for consolidated global reporting to the relevant management levels
- Ensuring documentation is aligned with all mandatory internal and external requirements
- Project-internal
- Managing commercial and legal project topics, in close collaboration with the Project Manager on project's strategic orientation and internal and external communication
- Ensuring adherence to fiscal, commercial law and company commercial regulations while coordinating commercial project activities (e.g. application for and follow-up of bank guarantees, insurances, etc.) and related legal, fiscal and insurance matters
- Overseeing order entry calculation, concurrent costing and final costing, as well as asset and cash flow management
- Ensuring accurate cost allocation and monitoring, including invoice preparation and claims follow-up
- Leading project controlling (deadlines, costs, quality) and conducting regular reporting, status meetings, and milestone reviews
- Supporting the creation of final project reports and capturing lessons learned for organizational feedback
- Managing fiscal, currency-related, and insurance matters in coordination with relevant departments and taking into consideration internal business models
- Steering the project s supply chain, including procurement, delivery, and ECC
- Contract management
- Drafting commercial and legal contractual conditions with customers, consortium partners and subcontractors, as well as supporting negotiations, interpretation, and implementation of contracts
- Analysis and assessment of complex, where applicable international contract constellations
- Active contract management together with the Project Manager for risks and opportunities
- Claim and change order management
- Assertion of own claims and prevention of unjustified claims
- Agreement on contractual amendments with regard to the scope of supplies and services, prices, deadlines or other contractually stipulated conditions
- Chance and risk management
- Identification and financial assessment of opportunities and risks, definition and implementation of suitable measures to reduce risks or realize opportunities, and creation of contingencies for remaining risks, active risk and opportunity management
Keys to Success
- You hold a University Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business.
- You have a Commercial Experience ideally in international Project Execution, minimum of 5 years
- Project Management Certification is a plus
- You have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs. Knowledge in SAP
- Ideally, you are proficient in several languages: English and French (essential), Arabic.
- You possess strong organizational rigor.
- You know how to communicate effectively: active listening and assertiveness.
