Position Overview
The Queen Elizabeth II Hotel in Dubai is hiring a Commis Chef to support daily kitchen operations. The role involves preparing mise-en-place, cooking dishes according to standardized recipes, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation. This position requires strong multitasking ability, attention to detail, and prior culinary experience in a hotel environment.

Core Duties

* Complete daily mise-en-place and food storage tasks as per kitchen checklist
* Prepare and cook dishes according to standardized recipes and supervisor instructions
* Ensure portion sizes, quality, and consistency are maintained across all meals
* Assist in menu trials and recipe testing for new or updated dishes
* Maintain food quality while optimizing the use of raw materials
* Present dishes in line with hotel and brand standards
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver smooth service
* Adhere to hygiene, safety, and sanitation policies at all times

Candidate Profile

* 2 3 years of experience as a Commis Chef, preferably in a hotel kitchen
* Strong ability to multitask and perform under pressure
* Familiarity with culinary operations and recipe standards
* Passionate about food preparation and presentation with attention to detail
* Flexible, reliable, and a dedicated team player
