Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Operations
- Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational procedures.
- Integrity scheduling and coordinating work as of project completion date.
- Ensuring the equipment works to its specification.
- Creating and carrying out test procedures.
- Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults.
- Troubleshooting.
- Liaising with installation / project Engineers.
- Supervising Engineering and technical staff.
- Writing reports and documentation.
- Providing technical support.
- Ensuring safe working conditions.
- Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate.
- Follow and obey all instruction from manager and respect company policy.
- Carry out all jobs related to machinery on board and workshop assigned from manager.
- Controlling the foreman and flow of work.
- Preform all root cause analysis and ability to make all investigation to improve working.
- Make all method statement and ability to understand all manual and drawings.
- Take responsibility to finish the job within the agreed time without any carelessness.
- Performing night shift job if required.
- Adhere to HSSE as per ADC policy.
- Working in other section of Mechanical Department as required.
- Work extra as per the requirement for the job.
- Prepare the commissioning schedules and hand over to Project managers.
- Continuously follow up the work progress.
- Prepare pre-commissioning check list sheets, fill them to ensure the work fronts for service engineers with system termination.
- Minimize the idle time of service engineers to avoid stand by hour charges.
- Need to communicate and with service engineer.
- Preparing daily work progress and commissioning reports.
- Submit all report throw QA/QC.
- Provide all requirements for Commissioning in advance.

- Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, delivery of high quality products / services and responsible environmental attitudeÂ
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.  Minimum Experience: Requires minimum of 15 years experiences in the field of ship repairing yard and new ship building. Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills: Requires a good understanding of general mechanical drawing, mechanical process and sequence drawing. Test, design, development and operations. Requires good skill in Word, Excel, Power Point, Auto cad, 3D software etc. Good communication and interpersonal skill in English are a must (e-mail communication) Decision making, leadership and creativity Interdepartmental coordination   Â
