Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Support EPC PMT by reviewing critical documents and reports generated by the main subcontractor. Attend workshops/review meetings when requested.
- Analyse technical proposals and proposed deviations, assess exceptions and new technologies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Apply lessons learned from previous projects and share new ones with other EPCs.
- Support the qualification of new suppliers proposed for the project, suppliers that are not on the approved vendor's list.
- Assesses Contractor's manpower loading and provide timely recommendations to project team and be available to backfill needs as required.
- Support the engineering team to stay on schedule to meet all critical milestones (long lead item (LLI) procurement, engineered equipment procurement; required on site (ROS) dates, etc); develops and stewards recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
- Witnesses Contractors scope of work and signs off test and check sheets as per project requirements.
- Verify that the EPC Contractor's reports are accurate with regards to progress reporting.
- Cooperate with review teams and take parts in quality audit activities throughout the project. Report findings accurately and provide plan to address issues when required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
- 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- In depth knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, appropriate safety criteria, mission critical facilities and discipline design, construction, operations and engineering administration.
- Knowledge and experience in discipline commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
- Experience in an HVAC role for large EPC contracts, with strong HVAC commissioning/technical skills.
- Advanced knowledge in testing and balancing (TAB) activities
- Advanced knowledge in performance testing of fans and air handling units to ensure design specs are met.
- Advanced knowledge of refrigeration system commissioning.
- Experience in room integrity testing.
- Knowledge of Fluorinated Gas (F-gas) regulations.
- Experience with AHI Carrier & Wozair equipment
- Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies
