Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead all commissioning activities across PV and BESS systems from pre-commissioning through to final handover.
  • Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans, checklists, and schedules aligned with project milestones.
  • Supervise and coordinate testing activities, including FAT, SAT, functional testing, and performance testing.
  • Interface with engineering, construction, HSE, and quality teams to ensure readiness for commissioning.
  • Manage contractor and vendor involvement in commissioning tasks and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot system issues during commissioning and coordinate resolution.
  • Oversee and ensure proper documentation, including ITPs, test reports, punch lists, and turnover packages.
  • Report commissioning progress, risks, and critical issues to senior management.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are conducted safely and in compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
  • Support operational readiness and handover to the operations team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of commissioning experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Proven track record of leading commissioning on both PV solar and BESS projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of grid compliance, electrical testing procedures, and energy storage systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
