Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the commissioning team during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Support operational testing, flushing, cleaning, leak testing, and start-up activities.
  • Monitor equipment and system conditions during commissioning operations.
  • Assist in system walk-downs, inspections, and punch list follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and construction teams to support commissioning progress.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with HSE regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of commissioning reports, logs, and operational documentation.
  • Assist vendors and specialists during equipment testing and commissioning activities.
  • Report operational abnormalities, technical issues, and deviations to supervisors and engineers.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and commissioning coordination meetings.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and operational condition.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Operations, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial operations, commissioning, or plant operations.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas processing plants, or power plants is preferred.
  • Previous EPC project experience is an advantage.
  • Site commissioning experience in Algeria or similar operational environments is beneficial.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Familiarity with industrial plant systems and operational procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand:
    • P&IDs
    • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Equipment datasheets
    • Operational procedures
  • Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and HSE procedures.
  • Basic understanding of DCS and control systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and operational support activities.
