Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Commissioning Operation Supervisor and Engineers during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Support operational testing, flushing, cleaning, leak testing, and system verification activities.
- Assist in monitoring plant systems and equipment during commissioning and start-up phases.
- Participate in system walk-downs, punch listing, and close-out activities.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and construction teams during commissioning operations.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with HSE regulations and project safety procedures.
- Support preparation and maintenance of commissioning documentation, reports, and operational records.
- Assist vendors and specialists during testing and commissioning activities on site.
- Report operational issues, abnormalities, and deviations to supervisors and engineers.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and commissioning coordination meetings.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in safe and operational condition.

Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Technical diploma or Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Operations, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plant operations, commissioning, or industrial operations activities.
- Experience in Oil & Gas plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas processing plants, or power plants is preferred.
- Previous EPC project experience is an advantage.
- Site commissioning experience in Algeria or similar environments is considered beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of commissioning and plant start-up activities.
- Familiarity with industrial process systems and operational procedures.
- Ability to read and understand:
- P&IDs
- Process flow diagrams (PFDs)
- Operational procedures
- Equipment datasheets
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safety procedures.
- Basic understanding of DCS and control systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and operational support activities.
