Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication strategies for financial initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Craft compelling financial narratives for both internal and external audiences, including investors, media, and employees, to build trust and transparency.
- Manage the creation and dissemination of financial reports, presentations, and other communications materials, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Oversee media relations, proactively pitching financial stories and responding to inquiries to maintain a positive brand image.
- Lead internal communications regarding financial performance, strategy changes, and key announcements to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including analysts, investors, and media, to facilitate effective communication.
- Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness, using data to refine strategies and improve messaging impact.
- Manage crisis communications related to financial matters, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as investor relations and marketing, to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform communication strategies.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Media, Public Relations or an equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
10 years of experience in communication and public relations, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry, including 5 years of managerial experience.
Sound knowledge of media communications and public relations.
Experience in conveying complex financial information.
Experience in compiling Annual reports, financial announcements and Press Releases
Minimum of five years Financial Communications experience, preferably at a publicly listed company and/or experience of an IPO
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate knowledge of the relevant best practices and trends.
Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
Functional management skills.
Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
High level of communication skills including presentation and writing skills.
Interpersonal skills.
Relationship building skills with stakeholders.
Knowledge of ADX regulations and or a similar market.
Experience in mentoring and coaching.
