Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Maintain a safe workplace and ensure that safety is the highest priority.

Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance requirements and provide necessary documentation.

Repair, maintain, and alter buildings.

Mix mortar, lay bricks, and install/repair concrete sidewalks.

Make and repair steps, install and tile floors, and perform carpentry work incidental to masonry.

Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.

Use hand and power tools including floats, trowels, and screeds.

Direct and operate a concrete truck.

Spread concrete into inaccessible form sections using rakes or shovels.

Level concrete to specified depth and consistency; finish surfaces with power trowels, wet rubs, edging tools, jointers, and straightedges.

Perform specialized work such as finishing steps, stairways, repairing old concrete, or producing decorative/textured finishes.

Cut, shape, and install tiles in tight corners and around obstacles using power and hand tools.

Form tile beds with concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar.

Align and level tiles to ensure accurate patterns.

Follow blueprints and accurately mark/measure surfaces for tiling.

Submit detailed project reports on concrete and masonry work to the Supervisor.

Perform additional duties and projects assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:

  • A minimum of 5 years of supervising experience in the concrete and masonry field is required along with a minimum of 5 years of concrete and masonry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work in an international environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team-oriented with proven ability to contribute effectively.
  • Ability to innovate and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Education: A high school diploma or GED.
