Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Construction Lead Planner with a strong engineering background to support the planning and execution of a country-wide clinical hospital project in Ivory Coast. The role involves developing and managing integrated schedules across design, procurement, and construction phases using Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with project milestones and delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimise detailed resource loaded project schedules using MS Project & or Primavera P6.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate schedule integration.
• Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and performance measurement baseline.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Prepare regular schedule updates, look-ahead, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support resource planning and allocation through resource-loaded schedules.
• Participate in risk assessments and scenario planning to mitigate schedule-related risks.
• Interface with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to align deliverables with the master schedule.
• Ensure compliance with project controls procedures and reporting standards.
• Facilitate and participate in weekly and monthly reports.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning, ideally on healthcare or infrastructure projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles, from design through commissioning.
- Experience working on multi-site or national rollout programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English is required; French proficiency is a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with hospital design and construction standards.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Experience working in West Africa or similar environments is a plus.
