Roles & Responsibilities

Qualification Required:- Bachelors degree in (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical)
Experience Required:- Minimum of 14 years of experience as a Constructions Manager.Responsible for planning, coordination, and managing the construction process, from the initial design to the final delivery; Ensuring all designs have been executed with in accordance with the shop-drawings, through requesting materials, assigning resources to the work-zone/project site; ensuring the received materials are in line with the material requisition and purchaseorder in-coordination with quality control team and storekeeper; monitoring the project work in according to the project plan, schedule, budget & quality and safety standards and work instructions; ensuring sub-contractors have delivered the assigned work in line with the sub-contract agreement; optimizing the cost, quality, time, and safety of the projects, using various tools and techniques such as project management, scheduling, estimating, contracting, and quality control.

  • Implement Department policies and follow the set processes in order to achieve the Departments objectives.

Core Activities:

  • Assist project manager in planning and scheduling for assigned Project and assign work to team members within his/her discipline.
  • Review and provide comments on submitted structural & architectural design drawings, design, and method statement.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and procedures / method statements before commencement of work and inspection activities as well as confirm drawings, specifications and procedures are in the latest revision.
  • Ensure the deviation from project is documented, submitted, approved, and stored in line with Company work instructions.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines and conduct field investigations to analyze any failures.
  • Ensure proper interpretation of the shop-drawings by the project team (engineers & foremen) and ensure the materials requisitions have been prepared by sub-ordinates for the use of the construction work.
  • Ensure all designs have been executed in the assigned work zone/project site in accordance with the shop-drawings while ensuring compliance with safety standard and regulations, project schedule, and budget.
  • Assist the project manager in the preparation of the variation orders regarding extra or rework that has been delivered and submit it for approval.
  • Assist the project manager in the preparation the payment certificate for work that has been executed prior to submitting the same to the client for payment.
  • Review and approve suppliers/vendors and subcontractors payments prior to being released by the Finance Department.
  • Conduct inspections at the sites on a regular basis to troubleshoot and identify any construction/structure related issues in the on-going projects and provide guidance to resolve issues.
  • Liaise with design team members to carry out required changes in designs, drawings, calculations, and structural specifications. Track project progress, check, assess and evaluate the workplace progress, compiling technical specification. Report project status to line managers, read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Manage project documentation, including but not limited to shop-drawing, construction specifications, design calculations, and schedules.
  • Conduct field investigations (if required) and analyze failures involving a variety of structures.
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants and keeping them informed of progress.
  • Supervise the work of any subcontractors to complete the work as per customer's satisfaction.
  • Oversee quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensure that regulations are adhered to Ensure safety and quality standards and guidelines are being upheld.
  • Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of safety gear, like helmets and goggles.
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for the completion of work and get it authorized by the client after their inspection.
  • Oversee construction sites and supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
  • Delegate responsibilities and tasks to subordinates, and other workers according to Priorities and plans.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
