Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an experienced and talented Construction Risk Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with construction projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring that risks are mitigated effectively to support the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework for construction projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational goals.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks related to construction activities, including cost, schedule, quality, safety, and environmental risks.
  • Conduct qualitative risk analysis to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
  • Conduct quantitative risk analysis using any of QRA techniques or as per client requirements.
  • Corporate risk registers and reports.
  • Tracing and following up for MSRs and conduct scenario analysis form both, client perspective and corporate.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Maintain and update projects risk register, documenting key risks, mitigation actions, and lessons learned.
  • Monitor and report on risk trends, patterns, and key risk indicators (KRIs) to support decision-making and proactive risk management.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and meetings with project teams and stakeholders to encourage proactive risk identification and resolution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on risk management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies in all risk management activities.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess and monitor construction risks and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Support the development of training programs to enhance risk awareness and competency among project teams.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years of experience working in a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in risk management tools and software. Especially, ARM, PRA and Safran.
  • Proficiency in presentation tools and software, including Excel, Power BI, and risk modeling platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and engage with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with construction standards, codes, and regulations.
  • MME certified.
  • MME certified.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Certification in risk management (e.g., PMI-RMP, PRM, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects in Qatar or the GCC region.
  • Proficiency in quantitative risk analysis (QRA) techniques, including Monte Carlo simulations and decision tree analysis.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices in construction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
