Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Own construction execution plan (CEP), method statements, ITPs, and field resource deployment.
Ensure PTW, JSA, toolbox talks, lift plans, and confined space/energization controls are in place.
Coordinate materials management: laydown, preservation, MTO/MR alignment, and look-ahead planning.
Manage subcontractors; measure progress (installed quantities) and productivity (PIs) vs. plan.
Lead construction readiness reviews and interface with engineering for RFIs, TQs, and site design changes.
Ensure QA/QC: inspections, weld/NDT management, punch/clearance systems, and turnover pack preparation.
Plan pre-commissioning: cleaning, reinstatement, leak tests, loop checks, and mechanical completion.
Coordinate logistics: heavy lifts, marine spreads, road closures, and permits with authorities as needed.
Drive daily/weekly performance meetings and implement corrective actions for safety and productivity.
A successful Construction Site Manager should have:
Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) or equivalent.
15+ years in upstream O&G construction with 5+ years in site leadership on EPC projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, welding procedures, NDT, lifting operations, and E&I installation standards.
Proficiency in construction planning (P6), progress measurement, and field reporting systems.
Strong understanding of PTW, SIMOPS, and emergency response procedures.
Field leadership and supervision; disciplined execution culture.
HSE-first mindset; hazard recognition and control.
Productivity management and problem-solving under constraints.
QA/QC orientation; attention to detail and documentation.
Stakeholder management with client, vendors, and authorities.
