Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Telehealth physiotherapy : Provide specialized trauma-focused physiotherapy to survivors of torture, sexual and gender-based violence and other gross human rights violations. Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risk factors. Use appropriate evidence-based clinical interventions informed by a treatment plan. Conduct follow-up assessments. Securely keep accurate clinical records of all activities.

Training : Actively participate in orientation and trainings on CVT s Trauma-focused Physiotherapy and Telehealth approaches to client care.

Client Documentation : Complete comprehensive intake assessment and subsequent SOAP notes and follow-up evaluations on Electronic health Records system. Document any community referrals and contact information.

Team Collaboration : Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and peer consultations as needed.

Other Duties : Complete administrative responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations:

  • Bachelor s degree in Physiotherapy/Physical Therapy.
  • Practicing license provided by country of residence.
  • 5 years experience providing individual physiotherapy sessions.
  • Demonstrated ability using a biopsychosocial approach.
  • Demonstrated experience working with people who have suffered torture and/or war trauma.

Preferred education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations:

  • Previous CVT work experience.
  • Master s degree or higher degree in physiotherapy or physical therapy.
  • Experience in providing telehealth physiotherapy.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities.
  • Qualification or certificate in Pain management.
  • Demonstrated experience applying principles of trauma-informed care.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required (spoken and written).
  • Preferred: experience in complex multi-cultural team dynamics; high-stress, trauma-oriented environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, recognize appropriate boundaries and cope with emotionally stressful situations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing program requirements.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic context and respond to various needs.
  • Skilled at working independently and as a member of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Commitment to engaging in human rights work, and diversity, equity and inclusion efforts within the organization.
