Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Identify, assess, and manage risks related to AI systems, including ethical, operational, legal, and reputational risks.
Collaborate with AI development, data science, legal, compliance, and business teams to embed governance and risk management throughout the AI lifecycle.
Monitor emerging AI regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines to ensure organizational compliance and proactive risk mitigation.
Conduct risk assessments and audits of AI models, algorithms, and data usage to identify potential biases, fairness issues, and security vulnerabilities.
Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on AI governance principles, risk management practices, and responsible AI use.
Support incident response and remediation efforts related to AI system failures or governance breaches.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and governance committees on AI risk posture and compliance status.
Promote a culture of responsible AI use and continuous improvement in governance practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
Essential
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in AI governance, risk management, compliance, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning models, and data management principles.
• Knowledge of AI ethics, fairness, transparency, and accountability frameworks.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR, AI Act (EU), ISO/IEC 42001, and other emerging AI governance guidelines.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, or impact assessments related to AI systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
• Relevant certifications such as AIGP are a plus.
