Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Accurately diagnose diseases by examining tissue samples, blood, and other bodily fluids using advanced microscopic and laboratory techniques.
  • Provide expert consultations to clinicians on patient diagnoses, treatment plans, and the interpretation of complex laboratory results, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert pathology insights to enhance collaborative patient management.
  • Develop and implement new diagnostic tests and procedures, staying at the forefront of advancements in clinical pathology.
  • Conduct and supervise autopsies to determine the cause of death, contributing to medical knowledge and understanding of disease processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution is mandatory, demonstrating the foundational medical knowledge.
  • Board certification in Clinical Pathology, showcasing expertise and commitment to professional standards.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of Clinical Pathology (e.g., hematopathology, clinical chemistry), adding specialized knowledge.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Clinical Pathologist, evidencing a proven track record of patient care and diagnostic expertise.
  • Proven experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting, indicating familiarity with the practical aspects of the role.
