Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
This position is ideal for consultants looking for a balanced clinical workload without the requirement for advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP or EUS.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care
- Perform high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies in line with international standards
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement, audit, and clinical governance activities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and UAE regulatory requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
Recognized specialist qualification in Gastroenterology
Native English speaker with excellent communication skills
Demonstrated strong colonoscopy skills (essential)
Experience in general gastroenterology practice
Advanced endoscopy (ERCP, EUS) not required
Eligible for consultant licensing with the relevant UAE health authority (DHA or equivalent)
Professional, patient-focused approach with strong teamwork skills
