Roles & Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides patient care that meets or exceeds the standards set by the JCIA/CBAHI.
  • To provide specialized care for pediatric patients on the in-patient and outpatient services.
  • To collaborate in a team approach to ensure the best care for children in the service.
  • To provide consultations under supervision to other divisions with the Department of Pediatrics and to other departments within the hospital as requested.
  • Participates actively in Departmental educational program development.
  • To teach and supervise Assistant Consultant, Interns and Residents in the Department of Pediatrics.
  • To conduct research under the supervision of the Departmental Research Consultant.
  • To assist in the development of subspecialty programming as required.
  • To participate in the Departmental Quality Assurance and Hospital program.
  • To assume responsibility in other divisions within the Department as requested.
  • Participates in the on-call schedule of the Department as well as in assigned subspecialty on-call rotations, in accordance with the rules and regulations of Section and the Department.
  • Fulfills his/her obligations related to Patient Records.
  • To serve on medical staff committees as directed by the Chairman of Department of Pediatrics.
  • To abide by the rules, policy and procedure of the Department and the Hospital.
  • To be responsible for the patients under his care.
  • Performs other job related duties as directed by the Section Head, the Chairman of Department of Pediatrics or the Executive Director of the Medical Services

Desired Candidate Profile

Medical Degree: MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution. Postgraduate Qualification: Must hold a Saudi Board, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized international board/fellowship 5+ years work experience Must have completed a recognized formal Residency Program in Pediatrics with additional sub-specialty training. English Proficiency - Level 1 - Essential Computer Literacy - Level I - Essential
