Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and manage APIs using Kong API Gateway
Configure and maintain Kong plugins for authentication, rate limiting, logging, and security
Develop and manage RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
Implement API lifecycle management including versioning, deployment, and monitoring
Integrate Kong with backend services and microservices architecture
Automate API deployment using CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot API performance issues and optimize gateway performance
Implement API security using OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication mechanisms
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Holds relevant certifications such as Kong Certified Professional (KCP) or equivalent.
- Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in API management, with a strong focus on Kong API Gateway.
- Exhibits deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
