Roles & Responsibilities
Position Overview
We are seeking a Consultant Neonatologist to join a tertiary-level neonatal service in Abu Dhabi, delivering advanced care for critically ill and premature newborns within a modern NICU environment.
Clinical Scope
- Management of:
- Extremely premature and low-birth-weight infants
- Neonatal respiratory distress and sepsis
- Congenital anomalies and postnatal complications
- Provide:
- Advanced neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Ventilation management and intensive care support
- Participate in high-risk deliveries alongside obstetrics
Service Structure
- Level III / IV NICU environment
- Collaboration with:
- Obstetrics & maternal-fetal medicine
- Pediatric subspecialties
- NICU nursing teams
Additional Responsibilities
- Lead neonatal care plans and decision-making
- Supervise junior doctors and NICU staff
- Participate in audits, protocols, and quality improvement
