Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Neonatologist to join a leading private healthcare provider in Dubai. This is a senior-level role within a well-equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), delivering advanced care to premature and critically ill newborns.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing high-risk neonatal cases, supporting clinical excellence, and contributing to the ongoing development of neonatal services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care in the NICU, managing premature and critically ill neonates
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, sepsis, congenital disorders, and low birth weight complications
  • Perform procedures such as neonatal resuscitation, intubation, ventilator management, umbilical line insertion, and advanced monitoring
  • Lead and participate in neonatal resuscitation teams and high-risk deliveries
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in on-call rota and emergency neonatal care
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support training and supervision of junior medical staff

Desired Candidate Profile

Recognized Consultant qualification in Neonatology / Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

  • Tier 1 / Western training preferred (e.g., US Board, CCT, FRCPCH or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in Level III / IV NICU settings
  • Eligibility for DHA Consultant license
  • Strong procedural and critical care skills in neonatology
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities
