Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Performing a wide range of tests, including pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams

  • Lead comprehensive prenatal care by assessing maternal health and fetal development through regular check-ups, imaging, and lab tests.
  • Perform complex surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and hysterectomies, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and minimizing patient risk.
  • Manage high-risk pregnancies by developing tailored birth plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and lifestyle adjustments to promote overall well-being and informed decision-making.
  • Conduct thorough gynaecological examinations, including Pap smears and pelvic assessments, while providing timely diagnoses and treatment options.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynaecology through continuous education and participation in professional conferences.
  • Provide emotional support and counselling to patients experiencing pregnancy-related complications or reproductive health issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to create integrated care plans for patients with coexisting medical conditions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to research efforts aimed at enhancing patient care in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from a recognized institution.
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, ensuring adherence to national standards of care.
  • Familiarity with advanced reproductive technologies and procedures, reflecting a commitment to modern medical practices.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills considered an asset for effective patient communication.
  • Strong technical skills in surgical techniques and diagnostic imaging to ensure accurate assessments and interventions.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex medical scenarios and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients, fostering a supportive healthcare environment.
