Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary The Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist will deliver high-quality anaesthesia care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures. The role involves managing complex pediatric and neonatal cases in a tertiary-care setting while ensuring optimal patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer general and regional anaesthesia for pediatric surgical procedures.
  • Manage neonatal and pediatric airway cases, including high-risk patients.
  • Provide perioperative pain management and sedation services.
  • Participate in pediatric emergency response and resuscitation teams.
  • Collaborate with pediatric surgery, cardiology, and ICU departments.
  • Supervise anaesthesia trainees and junior staff.
  • Ensure adherence to international anaesthesia safety standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Board Certification in Anaesthesiology.
  • Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia.
  • Qualifications accepted from:
    • UK (CCT)
    • USA (American Board Certification)
    • Canada (RCPSC)
  • Minimum 3 5 years experience as Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist.
