Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist (Invasive) to join a leading tertiary-care healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi . The role focuses on the diagnosis and invasive management of congenital and acquired heart diseases in infants, children, and adolescents, delivering advanced interventional cardiology services in accordance with international best practices.

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary paediatric and cardiac team, contributing to high-quality patient care, service development, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Perform and interpret invasive paediatric cardiac procedures, including but not limited to:
• Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
• Interventional procedures for congenital heart disease
• Assess, diagnose, and manage paediatric patients with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide pre- and post-procedural care and follow-up
• Participate in emergency and on-call services as required

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with:

• Paediatric cardiac surgeons
• Neonatologists and paediatric intensivists
• Anaesthesiologists and nursing teams
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and cardiac conferences

Governance & Quality

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records
• Ensure compliance with HAAD / DOH regulations, hospital policies, and international clinical standards
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
• Support teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff where applicable
