Consultant - Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide expert-level diagnosis, surgical management, and long-term care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital, developmental, traumatic, and acquired musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for paediatric orthopaedic patients
• Diagnose and manage congenital and developmental musculoskeletal disorders (e.g. DDH, clubfoot, limb deformities)
• Perform elective and emergency paediatric orthopaedic surgeries, including trauma and corrective procedures
• Manage post-operative care and long-term follow-up
• Participate in on-call and emergency coverage as required

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning
• Supervise, mentor, and support junior doctors and allied health professionals
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and clinical governance

Academic & Quality Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
• Contribute to teaching, training, and professional development activities
• Stay current with advances in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and evidence-based practice
