Roles & Responsibilities
Clinical Scope
- Management of:
- Pediatric respiratory failure
- Sepsis and multi-organ failure
- Post-operative critical care
- Perform:
- Advanced ventilation and airway management
- Emergency resuscitation
- Lead ICU care plans and decision-making
Service Structure
- 24/7 PICU coverage
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with:
- Pediatric subspecialties
- Surgery and anesthesiology
- Access to advanced ICU technology
Additional Responsibilities
- Participation in on-call rota
- Supervision of ICU team (junior doctors, nurses)
- Contribution to quality improvement and clinical audits
Desired Candidate Profile
Consultant qualification in Pediatric Intensive Care
- Strong ICU experience in tertiary settings
- UAE licensure eligibility
