CONSULTANT PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGY

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• As Most Responsible Physician (MRP) of patients admitted under his/her name, ensures optimal care of those patients.
• Undertakes outpatient, inpatient and operating duties with punctuality and in a professional manner.
• Cooperate with other Consultants, Section Heads and Chairman in day-to-day department affairs including morbidity/mortality and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures that all middle grade and junior staff in the team carry out their duties appropriately.
• Teaches and guides them in all aspects of surgical care.
• Responsible for timely completion of medical records and also the quality of the records.
• Undertakes duties as assigned by Section Head and Chairman.
• Partakes in committee duties as requested or nominated, representing section head when requested.
• Organizes academic and teaching activities as necessary.
• Responsible for Associate and Assistant Consultants, Staff Surgeons, Residents and Interns on the team.
• Liaises with other consultants and senior staff as indicated.
• Perform other job related duties.

Education: Graduation from a medical school recognized by NGHA.Successful completion of a structured, accredited residency training program acceptable toNGHA.Certification by the appropriate specialty board approved by the Saudi Commission forHealth Specialties and acceptable to NGHA.

Experience: Minimum of (two) - Essential

Language and Computer Skills:

• English Language: Level I Essential
• Arabic Language: Preferred
• Computer: Level l Essential
