Roles & Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Consultant Radiation Oncologist with strong expertise in brachytherapy to join a leading private hospital in the UAE. This is a senior-level appointment within a well-established oncology program, offering the opportunity to work with advanced technologies and contribute to comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert radiation oncology services, including advanced brachytherapy techniques
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a wide range of oncological conditions
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary cancer team including medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and allied health professionals
  • Perform treatment planning using modern radiotherapy systems (e.g., IMRT, IGRT, VMAT where applicable)
  • Ensure safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy in line with international best practices
  • Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to clinical governance, protocol development, and continuous medical education

Desired Candidate Profile

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Recognized Consultant qualification in Radiation Oncology
  • Proven, hands-on experience in brachytherapy (essential)
  • Experience with advanced radiotherapy techniques and technologies
  • Eligible for UAE Consultant license (DHA / DOH / MOH)
  • Strong background in multidisciplinary oncology care
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
