Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consultant-level rehabilitation care for patients recovering from major trauma, orthopaedic injuries, neurological conditions, and complex medical/surgical admissions.
  • Lead and coordinate inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programmes, ensuring continuity of care from acute admission through recovery.
  • Work closely with trauma surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, ICU, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and nursing teams.
  • Develop and oversee individualised rehabilitation plans focused on functional recovery and quality of life.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, discharge planning, and outcome reviews.
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with UAE regulatory and governance standards.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and professional education initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Board-Certified/Eligible Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine / Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM).

  • Demonstrated hospital-based trauma rehabilitation experience is essential.
  • Strong clinical leadership skills and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
  • Experience working within acute hospital or tertiary care settings preferred.
  • Eligible for Consultant licensing with the relevant UAE health authority (DHA/DOH).
