Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with ear, nose, and throat disorders, employing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform complex surgical procedures such as tonsillectomies, septoplasties, and endoscopic sinus surgeries with precision and care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including audiologists and speech therapists, to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in ENT techniques and technologies, attending workshops and conferences regularly.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patients understand their procedures and recovery processes.
- Educate patients and their families on ENT health and preventive measures, fostering a supportive and informative environment.
- Maintain meticulous records of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with medical regulations.
- Participate in research initiatives to contribute to the advancement of ENT medicine and improve patient outcomes.
- Train and mentor junior medical staff in best practices and innovative procedures within ENT surgery.
- Respond to emergency cases involving ENT trauma, providing prompt and effective interventions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Otolaryngology from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Otolaryngology, demonstrating proficiency and commitment to the field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in ENT surgery within a clinical setting.
- Proficient in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset for diverse patient interactions.
- Strong technical skills in surgical techniques and diagnostic equipment specific to ENT care.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex medical information in an accessible manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stakes surgical environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities to make informed decisions quickly.
- A compassionate approach to patient care, emphasizing empathy and understanding in all interactions.
- Physical stamina and fine motor skills necessary to perform intricate surgical procedures.
