Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver radiation oncology services including patient consultation, treatment planning, delivery, and follow-up care
  • Evaluate oncology patients and develop individualized radiation treatment plans in collaboration with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and oncology case discussions
  • Ensure accurate contouring, treatment prescription, and verification in line with safety and quality standards
  • Monitor patients throughout treatment, managing treatment-related toxicities and complications
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality assurance, audit, and clinical governance activities
  • Contribute to teaching, training, and CME activities when applicable
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours coverage as required by the department

Compensation & Benefits

  • Tax-free salary: AED 800,000 1,100,000 per year
  • Monthly equivalent: AED 67,000 92,000

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  • Completed specialist training in Radiation Oncology from an accredited program
  • Recognized Specialist or Consultant certification (e.g., Arab Board, European Board, UK CCT, US Board, or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) licensure at Specialist or Consultant level
  • Minimum 3 5 years post-qualification experience preferred (requirements vary by grade)
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered cancer care
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary oncology team

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in tertiary or comprehensive cancer centers
  • Familiarity with modern radiation techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and IGRT
  • Prior international or Middle East clinical experience is advantageous but not mandatory
