Background and Justification:
UNICEF Jordan is seeking to hire a consultant to conduct a Situation Analysis (SitAn) of Children, Adolescents, and Young People in Jordan. The SitAn will be a comprehensive assessment that will inform UNICEF's new Country Programme Document (CPD) for the period 2025-2029. It will provide an in-depth understanding of the situation of children, adolescents, and young people in Jordan, focusing on their rights, needs, and the challenges they face. The SitAn will also identify key opportunities for UNICEF to support the government and other partners in addressing these challenges and improving the well-being of children and adolescents.
Purpose:
The purpose of the consultancy is to conduct a comprehensive SitAn of children, adolescents, and young people in Jordan. The SitAn will:
- Provide an updated and in-depth understanding of the situation of children, adolescents, and young people in Jordan, focusing on their rights, needs, and the challenges they face.
- Identify key opportunities for UNICEF to support the government and other partners in addressing these challenges and improving the well-being of children and adolescents.
- Inform the development of UNICEF's new CPD for the period 2025-2029.
Specific Tasks:
- Conduct a desk review of relevant documents, including government reports, research studies, and UNICEF program documents.
- Conduct consultations with key stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, UN agencies, and children and adolescents themselves.
- Analyze the data collected and prepare a comprehensive SitAn report.
- Present the findings of the SitAn to UNICEF and other stakeholders.
Expected Deliverables:
- Inception Report.
- Draft SitAn Report.
- Final SitAn Report.
Duration:
The consultancy is expected to be completed within 100 working days over a period of 6 months.
