Roles & Responsibilities
Project Context and Scope
Tasks to be performed under this contract
- Support in creating, translating, and disseminating IEC materials for Assistance Programme Units.
- Provide roving operations and translation support across Assistance Programme Units.
- Contribute cultural and linguistic guidance for potential resettlement related initiatives.
- Contribute to organizing and running culturally appropriate monitoring and evaluation exercises.
- Support with off-platform escorting and translation services when necessary.
- Support in developing and executing beneficiary assessments.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Secondary education is required, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
OR
- A Bachelor s degree in a related field, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience providing translation and interpretation support (oral and written), particularly in humanitarian or assistance programme contexts.
- Previous experience working with displaced populations, including refugees, asylum seekers, or internally displaced persons, is required.
- Experience working in camp settings is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to support community engagement, beneficiary communication, and culturally sensitive information dissemination.
Languages
- Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto and English is required.
- Fluency in both Dari and Pashto is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
