Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of shipping containers, identifying damage, defects, and non-compliance with industry standards using IICL guidelines.
  • Evaluate container structural integrity, including walls, floors, roofs, and doors, to ensure seaworthiness and cargo-worthiness, and assess the extent of damage.
  • Verify container cleanliness and suitability for specific cargo types, checking for contaminants, odors, or residues that could compromise cargo.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, accurately documenting findings with photographs and descriptions, adhering to IICL protocols and company standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundational level of education.
  • Hold a valid IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors) certification, showcasing specialized expertise in container inspection.
  • Have at least 2-3 years of experience in container inspection or a related field, providing practical industry knowledge.
  • Prior experience in the shipping or logistics industry is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with container operations.
