Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Inspect all types of shipping containers as per the clients specified criteria (Port Inspections, IICL, MCIC, Cargo worthy, Wind and water tight etc.)
  2. Generate estimates for all inbound containers supported by photo evidence.
  3. Grade the container as per the condition of the interior i.e. suitable to load food, general cargo, scrap condition etc.
  4. Re-inspect containers in preparation to issue a CSC certification or to update the ACEP sticker.
  5. Carry out regular post repair inspections to ensure container repairs are carried out as per customer’s criteria. Ensure correct repair methods and materials are used.
  6. Train the trainees using IICL standards as a benchmark to understand inspections, estimation, and repairs
  7. Monitor the yard traffic flow and ensure entrances and exits are continuously flowing
  8. Supporting the Supervisors to run the workshop and wash bay operations
  9. Ensure high quality standards are maintained.
  10. Perform other duties outlined by your line manager
  11. Always follow and work to DP World’s policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
