Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Mission
The Continuous Improvement Engineer's main mission is to maintain and optimize production flows and standards and to contribute to the improvement of the company's industrial performance. He/She implements Lean tools and approaches to reduce costs, waste, and improve quality, productivity, and safety.
2. Tasks and Responsibilities
- Analysis and optimization of flows:
- Diagnose production and supply flows for lines
- Identify dysfunctions, waste, and areas for improvement.
- Analysis and optimization of Kanban loops
- Monitor and improve the factory's flow systems
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead Kaizen, 5S, SMED, VSM, etc. workshops
- Promote and deploy Lean culture among teams.
- Manage continuous improvement projects from end to end.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate actions with relevant departments (production, quality, maintenance, etc.).
- Assign immediate actions to methods agents and coordinate with peers to prioritize them
- Establish action plans, track deadlines, costs, and results.
- Lead transversal continuous improvement workshops and projects
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools, 5S, FMEA, PDCA, SMED, TPM, etc.
- Mastery of process analysis methods and industrial performance improvement.
- Mastery of problem-solving methodologies and tools (QQOQCCP, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, 8D, QRCI...)
- Reading technical plans, mastery of an ERP system and office tools (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, etc.).
Behavioral Skills:
- Rigor, analytical and synthesis skills.
- Listening skills, pedagogical approach, and ability to work in a team.
- Proactivity, autonomy, and initiative.
Training and Experience:
- Engineering degree (general, mechanical, production, quality, etc.).
- 3 to 8 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in a similar role.
