Roles & Responsibilities


Position Summary:
A Contract Administrator in a real estate development company is responsible for managing, reviewing, and administering all project contracts—from pre-award tendering to post-award contract management. They ensure compliance with UAE laws, company policies, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure contracts align with FIDIC and UAE legal requirements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive register of all contractual documents and variations.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure timely delivery of obligations.

2. Tendering & Procurement Support

  • Assist in preparing tender documents and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Evaluate commercial submissions and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and legal departments to finalize awards.

3. Claims & Variations

  • Review, analyse, and respond to contractors’ claims and variation requests.
  • Prepare documentation for extensions of time (EOT) and change orders.
  • Support dispute resolution and coordinate with legal advisors when necessary.

4. Project Coordination

  • Liaise with project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure contract compliance.
  • Support progress payment certification and project financial tracking.
  • Prepare reports on contractual and financial status of ongoing projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Law.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Contract Law or Construction Claims is an advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience in contract administration or commercial management, preferably in UAE real estate development or construction.
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC and UAE civil law.

Skills:

  • Proficient in contract drafting and review.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Aconex, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
