Roles & Responsibilities


Role Overview Penta Global Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Engineer to manage post-award activities for our high-value Oil & Gas EPC projects. This role focuses on safeguarding the company’s interests through meticulous contract management, delay analysis, and claims preparation. The ideal candidate will be a technical professional with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and a proven track record in the UAE’s energy sector.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Post-Award Administration: Lead all contractual activities following project award, ensuring full compliance with the primary contract and project scope.

  • Claims Management: Identify, draft, and manage Delay Event Notification Letters, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, prolongation claims, and disruption claims.

  • Delay & Productivity Analysis: Utilize Primavera P6 to perform detailed productivity assessments and delay analyses to support commercial claims.

  • Contractual Correspondence: Draft professional and legally sound correspondence with clients and subcontractors, maintaining a high standard of documentation.

  • Subcontracting Support: Oversee the administration and evaluation of subcontracts specifically related to Mechanical and E&I works.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain exhaustive contractual logs, records, and reports to ensure audit readiness and project transparency.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the contractual link between internal project teams, procurement, and external stakeholders/clients.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience: 5–8 years of direct experience in the Oil & Gas EPC or construction sector.

  • Local Knowledge: Prior experience working on ADNOC projects is highly preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Excel, and MS Word is mandatory.

Technical Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of standard Oil & Gas construction contract terms and conditions.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical and E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) contracting processes.

  • Exceptional analytical skills for identifying contractual risks and opportunities.

  • Excellent command of English for drafting complex formal correspondence.
