Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contract Review and Compliance
  1. Reviewing contract documents and verifying scope, quantities, and approvals in coordination with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
  2. Identifying potential contractual risks and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and project deliverables.
  3. Monitoring contract execution to ensure alignment with project schedules, deliverables, and milestone obligations.
  4. Maintaining organized records of contract correspondence, deliverables, variations, and approvals for audit readiness.
  • Contract Administration and Correspondence
  1. Assisting in the preparation & evaluation of contractual correspondences, notices, and variations.
  2. Supporting the preparation and assessment of claims, extensions of time (EOTs), and cost impact justifications.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Agreements
  1. Preparing and analyzing subcontractor and supplier agreements, ensuring alignment with main contract obligations.
  2. Supporting negotiations and drafting of subcontractor and consultant agreements, ensuring favorable and enforceable terms.
  • Coordination and Support
  1. Coordinating with site teams, planning, and commercial departments to resolve contractual issues proactively.
  2. Assisting the Senior Contracts Engineer in contractual reviews, reporting, & risk mitigation actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and contractual correspondence skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and contract management tools.
  • In-depth understanding of contractual terms and conditions, FIDIC, and other standard forms of contract.
  • Experience in claims preparation, variation orders, extensions of time, and contractual risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with the UAE construction market, including local regulations, authorities’ requirements, and legal frameworks.
