Roles & Responsibilities
Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Contracts Manager to join our team in Dubai. The role is responsible for overseeing the full contract lifecycle, managing all commercial and contractual matters, and ensuring effective risk mitigation while supporting successful project delivery across private sector developments.
What You ll Be Doing:
- Participates in divisional, company, and corporate strategic planning activities, including risk assessments, bid/no-bid evaluations, and business planning for private sector projects.
- Provides leadership and technical guidance to the contracts team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant contract administration.
- Manages team resources effectively, including staffing assignments, recruitment, interviews, onboarding, performance management, mentoring, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Collaborates closely with project and division management teams to support proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and ongoing contract administration activities.
- Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify commercial risks, contractual gaps, and deviations from company policies and standards.
- Leads negotiations on complex, high-value, and sensitive contractual matters with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Ensures robust contract and commercial management practices are consistently implemented across projects to safeguard Parsons interests and mitigate risks.
- Represents the company, when required, in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and professional associations to remain current with evolving contractual frameworks and industry practices.
- Contributes to successful project delivery by aligning contractual strategies with overall project and business objectives.
What Required Skills You ll Bring:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in contract management, commercial management, or quantity surveying within civil engineering or infrastructure projects (including utilities, roads, and related works).
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in managing private sector contracts, including contract administration, claims management, variations, dispute resolution, and negotiations.
- Proven ability to lead contract and commercial functions at a senior level on large-scale and complex projects.
- Solid understanding of contract forms, procurement strategies, and commercial management principles.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills with the ability to assess and mitigate contractual risks effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to handle complex and high-pressure discussions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
What Desired Skills You ll Bring:
- Previous experience with leading consultancy firms or major international contractors is highly preferred.
- Strong UAE experience, with Dubai project exposure considered a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with high-profile infrastructure or private sector development projects in the region.
