Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end batch scheduling activities using BMC Control-M and support code promotion activities via Changeman.
• Support calendar activities and manage special resources to ensure smooth batch processing.
• Coordinate and adjust schedules for special requests, adhering to Customer Business priorities.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and optimize batch completion criteria.
• Respond promptly to requests for priority job execution.
• Notify Customer Business if special requests impact the timely completion of other tasks and provide schedule status updates.
• Handle output management system tasks such as archiving old jobs, etc.
• Support system housekeeping and backup job scheduling.
• Schedule on-demand batch jobs that require immediate execution.
• Adhere to JCL standards in supporting the creation and testing of JCL.
• Establish and document standards for production jobs. Provide technical assistance to resolve incidents and errors in production JCL where appropriate.
• Implement resolution and restart procedures in case of batch job failures.
• Monitor scheduled batch jobs and batch cycles, resolving any non-application scheduling conflicts.
• Daily health monitoring of all queues and ensure timely batch completion.
• Utilize BMC AMI OPS and Output management tools.
• Monitor and action change requests according to the established change control process.
• Participate in disaster recovery tests.

Good to Have:

1. Knowledge of output management tools such as View Direct, Dispatch POOL-NT, etc.
2. Experience with Sys Ops and additional scheduling tools (CA-7, ESP, ZEKE, OPC, Control-M Enterprise Manager, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Total experience: 4 to 8 years.
• Relevant experience: Minimum of 4 -8 years as Production Control Specialist.
