Role & responsibilities 1. Manage the material handling system from the Control Room by monitoring and adjusting hoppers, screens, and conveyors.

2. Monitor and adjust the control parameters of Kiln system operations to meet quality, safety, and environment targets.

3. Able to understand and operate in SCADA/HMI systems.

4. Troubleshoot equipment and/or process in your work area.

5. Upkeeping of all records related to quality and production.

6. Perform incidental maintenance as required.

7. Perform required housekeeping.

8. Perform other tasks as directed by the department supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

Kiln firer, lime burner Controls equipment in which limestone is burned to produce lime or carbon dioxide: Turns panel controls to start flow of materials, fuel, and air, and speed of conveyors, and to regulate draft and vent mechanisms. Adjusts automatic scale that controls the amount of limestone flowing into the kiln. Scoops samples of hot limestone from the kiln for chemical analysis, using a shovel. Observes material flow, air, temperature, and fuel charts, and oxygen gauges, and makes adjustments to maintain kiln conditions within specified limits. Keeps production records.
