Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

To effectively manage the day to day work during control room shift duty ensuring a real-time safe, secure, reliable and economic operation of power system to meet OETC obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Control Shift Engineer is at the forefront of LDC network control center operations.
  • Responsible for monitoring, controlling, and maintaining the power system operations to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery and meeting OETC objectives of safe, stable, secure and economic system operations. This role requires working in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 operational support.
  • The control shift engineer is required to respond to operational requirements in normal, alert and emergency conditions, meet several operational criteria and deal with a number of professional organizations / persons.
  • The control shift engineer functions in the environment specified by several technical documentation and standards mainly System Safety Rules, Grid Code, System Operational Procedures, Transmission Security standard. Effective utilization of SCADA / EMS is essential for this job
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the Asset Management, QHSE Management System and IT Security Standard Requirements according to Integrated Management System (IMS), ISO 55001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001 to carry out the assigned duties as per the roles and responsibilities matrix.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Electrical/ Electronics / with specialization in power systems

Professional Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience.
