Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
-Manage the conveyancing process for property transactions, including sales, purchases, and leases, from start to finish.
-Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts, title deeds, and other relevant paperwork.
-Liaise with clients, legal teams, government authorities, and other stakeholders to gather required documents and ensure all parties are informed of progress.
-Conduct property searches and due diligence, verifying title, ownership, and legal standing of properties involved in transactions.
-Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including property laws, tax regulations, and other legal requirements related to conveyancing.
-Coordinate and attend property closings, ensuring all documents are signed, and funds are transferred as required.
-Provide advice and guidance to clients on the legal aspects of property transactions, explaining terms and conditions and answering questions.
-Monitor transaction timelines and ensure that all deadlines are met, escalating any issues or delays as needed.
-Maintain accurate and organized records of all property transactions, including contracts, documents, and communication with clients and other parties.
-Assist in the resolution of any legal disputes or issues arising during the conveyancing process.
-Assist with the preparation of legal reports and summaries for clients and management.
-Provide support to other departments, such as the sales team, to ensure smooth integration of legal processes with business operations.
-Stay updated on changes to property laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
-Attend meetings or hearings as needed to support legal matters related to real estate transactions.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of real estate law, conveyancing procedures, and legal documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to handle multiple transactions and manage priorities effectively.
Proficiency in legal and office management software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, contract management tools, and legal research tools.
Familiarity with property search databases and government portals.
In-depth knowledge of real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and financing arrangements.
Understanding of local property laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Law, Real Estate, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in real estate conveyancing, with a strong understanding of property laws and legal documentation.
