Roles & Responsibilities

Regarding projects:

  • Analysis of legal documentation for public tenders in order to identify the main legal risks and opportunities.
  • Draft, review and negotiate in relation with the commercial, technical and financial teams, all type of contracts relating to the execution of projects (such as supply agreements, subcontracts, services providers agreements);
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts to be concluded with partners (such as consortium agreement, joint venture);
  • Provide legal advice to operation teams during the execution of the contracts in collaboration with the Contract Manager in charge of the project, as well as review or draft the legal aspects of claims.

Day-to-day legal advise:

  • Provide day-to-day comprehensive legal advice to the operation team and the Country Director, covering various aspects of Egyptian law;
  • Offer support and guidance to the HR department concerning legal matters related to labor and employment.
  • coordinate the implementation of Groupe compliance program and activities. The Compliance Officer is the Legal Director of Colas Rail.

Concerning litigation:

  • Analysis of the issues and development of a litigation strategy in coordination with the Contract Management teams as well as with the Legal Department in Paris;
  • coordination with external counsels.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor Law Degree (a Master degree is a plus) Experience: Between 4 6 years (2 or 4 years experience in the construction or industrial sector is a plus) Language Requirements: Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus.
