Overview

A prestigious law firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a junior professional with foundational experience in corporate law and a strong desire to build a career in the UAE's fast-paced legal sector. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our corporate legal team, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of client matters and administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Legal Assistant will be responsible for a range of duties critical to the firm's corporate practice, including:

  • Corporate Administration: Assisting with the end-to-end process of company formation, registration, and licensing across various UAE jurisdictions (DED, Free Zones). Preparing and filing annual returns, trade license renewals, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Document Management: Drafting, reviewing, and formatting standard corporate legal documents, such as board resolutions, powers of attorney, shareholder agreements, and general legal correspondence. Maintaining and organizing physical and electronic legal archives with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Legal Research: Conducting preliminary legal research on various aspects of UAE corporate, commercial, and labor law to support senior attorneys. Summarizing findings clearly and concisely for internal use.
  • Liaison & Coordination: Coordinating with government authorities, ministries, and regulatory bodies to facilitate client transactions and compliance requirements. Managing and coordinating the legal team's appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • General Support: Providing comprehensive administrative support, including billing, expense reports, and managing office supplies for the legal department.

Desired Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of demonstrable experience working as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably in the UAE.
  • Skills:

- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

- Familiarity with the UAE legal and regulatory environment is a plus.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: A monthly salary of AED 5,000 (United Arab Emirates Dirhams).
  • Benefits: In accordance with UAE Labour Law, the package includes standard benefits such as annual leave, medical insurance, and end-of-service gratuity.
